Meet our Medical Staff
Dr. Seema Agarwal, MD
CCFP CAQ-HP, Hyperbaric Physician
Dr. Seema Agarwal obtained her MD at the Michael DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University. She subsequently completed her Family Medicine Residency at NYGH through the University of Toronto. Dr. Agarwal has a varied practice which includes palliative care through the NYGH Freeman Outreach Team, surgical assist in Orthopedics at Humber River Hospital, and Hyperbaric Medicine.
Dr. Agarwal has completed the Program for Advanced Training in Hyperbaric Medicine through the UHMS and has received her certificate of advanced qualification in hyperbaric medicine, CAQ-HP. She is passionate about providing Hyperbaric Medicine to patients with various OHIP-covered indications including idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss, delayed radiation injury, and chronic wounds.
Dr. Adrian Bruno MD
CCFP CAQ-HP, Hyperbaric Physician
Dr. Adrian Bruno obtained his MD at the Michael DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University. He subsequently completed his Family Medicine Residency at McMaster University. He completed a family practice anesthesia residency at the University of Toronto. He holds additional certificates in medical acupuncture and opioid dependence. He has a diploma from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
Dr. Bruno has completed the Program for Advanced Training in Hyperbaric Medicine through the UHMS and has received his certificate of advanced qualification in hyperbaric medicine, CAQ-HP.
Dr. Tony Wang, MD
Hyperbaric Physician
Dr. Tony Wang completed his MD, residency in Rural Family Medicine, and fellowship in Emergency Medicine from the University of Toronto. He works as an ER physician at Humber River Hospital, where he also serves as Co-Lead for Medical Education. His work allows him to appreciate the intimate relationship between care in the ER and timely hyperbaric therapy in patients with a variety of medical conditions including sudden sensorineuronal hearing loss, diabetic foot ulcers, and beyond.
Dr. Tanzila Basrin, MD
BSc, CCFP, Hyperbaric Physician
Dr. Tanzila Basrin is a Family and Emergency Physician in Ontario, Canada. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Anatomy and Cellular Biology at McGill University. She obtained her Medical School Training at the University of Ottawa, followed by Residency and Fellowship at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Basrin’s interest and dedication in bridging healthcare disparities has further led to her involvement in Telemedicine and its delivery of innovative access to patient care. Dr. Basrin’s passion for medical education and leadership has her involved on boards of multiple medical organizations and NGOs, including co-founding Women's Health Education Made Simple (WHEMS).
Dr. Lakshmi Kamala, MD
Hyperbaric Physician
Dr. Lakshmi Kamala completed her MD from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University in 2019. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine with enhanced skills in Emergency Medicine in 2022 also from Western University. Her clinical practice consists of a mix of Emergency Medicine and Hyperbaric Medicine in the GTA. She is also involved in Medical Education at University of Toronto.
Dr. Elah Nadel, MD
Hyperbaric Physician
Dr. Elah Nadel obtained her MD at the Michael DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University. She subsequently completed her Family Medicine Residency at North York General Hospital through the University of Toronto. Dr. Nadel's practice includes comprehensive family medicine as part of the North York Family Health team, clinical teaching of medical students and residents, and Hyperbaric Medicine.
Dr. Tom Lu, MD
PhD, CCFP, Hyperbaric Physician
Dr. Lu earned his PhD in Physiology and MD from University of Toronto, followed by residency training in Family Medicine at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. His clinical practice includes Family and Hyperbaric Medicine.
Dr. Jason Yue, MD
CCFP(EM), Hyperbaric Physician
Dr. Jason Yue obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Toronto. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto and went on to pursue a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at McGill University.
Dr. Yue currently practices as an Emergency Physician at the Scarborough Health Network, where he routinely assesses and manages patients with complex wounds, infections, and sensorineural hearing loss. He has a strong interest in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and is passionate about its use as an adjunctive treatment in these conditions and beyond.
Dr. Maya Nadel, MD

Dr. Maya Nadel obtained her MD at the Michael DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University. She subsequently completed her Family Medicine Residency at North York General Hospital through the University of Toronto.
